Miquon is a community made of families, not only children. It is our view that education is a cooperative venture amongst all the adults in a child’s life.At Miquon, community begins with relationships. Everyone knows everyone's name here. Teachers see each child as a whole person. Families build connections with one another that last well beyond graduation.
Our intentionally small school creates opportunities for meaningful interactions through Buddy Time, Friday Assembly, classroom celebrations, community events, volunteer opportunities, and the familiar faces that greet one another each morning.
Our community is enriched by people with a wide range of identities, experiences, perspectives, talents, and ways of learning. We are committed to fostering a culture of belonging where children, families, and staff feel respected, valued, and able to participate fully in school life. We know that meaningful relationships grow through listening, collaboration, and a willingness to learn from one another. By embracing different perspectives and experiences, we strengthen our community and prepare children to engage thoughtfully with the wider world.
