The best way to get to know us is to come for a visit! You’ll see joyous learning from the creek to the classroom and meet the people that make Miquon special.
Daily Tours
We offer individualized campus tours for families interested in our preschool through 6th grade program. These visits are designed to give you a meaningful, unhurried look at daily life at our Progressive elementary school.
During your tour, you will:
- Walk our 9-acre wooded campus
- Visit classrooms and outdoor learning spaces
- Meet teachers and members of our admissions team
- Learn how mixed-age, child-centered learning works in practice
- Ask specific questions about your child and your family’s goals
Tours start on October 1. Children are welcome to attend tours, and many families find that seeing the campus through their child’s eyes is especially helpful.
Fall Open House
Our next Open House will be in the fall on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. We invite you to meet community members, tour classrooms, and ask us all of your questions!
During Open House, families will:
- Tour classrooms and the wooded campus
- Meet teachers, administrators, and current families
- Learn about our Progressive education philosophy
- See how outdoor learning and social emotional development are integrated into the school day
- Get answers to admissions, program, and fit questions
Open House is ideal for families who are beginning their search for an independent elementary school near Philadelphia and want an overview of what makes Miquon unique.
Fall Alumni Panel
Miquon and Beyond: A Conversation with Recent Alumni
Our fall Alumni Panel will be on Thursday, November 19, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. We invite you to hear from the experts themselves about how Miquon's Progressive program sets students up for success in the upper grades and life.
During the Alumni Panel, families will:
- Hear from our young alumni, currently in high schools around the region
- Learn more about the upper grades at Miquon from our 5th/6th grade teachers
- Learn about our Progressive education philosophy from our Head of School and Associate Head for Teaching and Learning
- Be able to ask questions of the alumni and teachers
- See our 5th/6th grade classrooms
- Meet current families
