An announcement like that
might not be unusual in mid-February, but this was NICE weather. Incredible
weather. Warm and sunny. Weather too fine to miss because of sitting in
a classroom or an office all day. So we cancelled the afternoon's plans
and went outside to sing and dance and play. The whole school -- teachers,
kids, office staff, parents, and maintenance folks -- took part in an impromptu
festival to celebrate an unexpected summer day that came before Spring
Break.
