Quasi-Philosophical Musings The image above is (supposedly) an ancient Hindu view of the cosmos. The world is positioned on the backs of six elephants, which are standing on a tortoise, which is supported by a great serpent who circumscribes the universe. Makes sense to me. At least, it's as internally consistent as any of the alternatives.
This page is a place where, from time to time, essays will appear that will probably be related to education, but sometimes not. Often, they will be Big Questions or Deep Issues that have either been unresolved throughout my teaching years or have been "answered" in so many different and conflicting ways that I have no real confidence in the views I currently harbor. All of the opinions are my own and do not represent the position of The Miquon School or that of any of my colleagues. I invite mail from anyone in response to whatever appears here.
