School Buses
Most Miquon children ride to and from school on yellow school buses provided by their local school district. In a typical year, the following school districts transport students to Miquon: Abington, Cheltenham, Colonial, Lower Merion, Methacton, Norristown, Philadelphia, Springfield (Montg. Co.), Upper Dublin, Upper Merion, and Wissahickon.
In Philadelphia, children must be in 1st grade or 6 years of age by September 1 in order to be eligible for busing by the school district. In most suburban school districts, children are eligible for busing in kindergarten. Bus routes, stop locations, and pick-up times are determined by the school district that provides the bus service.

Miquon Vans
Private door-to-door transportation is available on Miquon vans, whether or not a child is eligible for school district transportation. If requests for van service exceed our capacity, priority will be give to children who are not eligible for public school district transportation service. Parents must contract for transportation for the year, with the charge being payable on a monthly basis. Routes and pick-up times are determined by the Miquon School.
